Directions

1: Prepare the Sandwich:

Spread peanut butter on one slice of bread and jelly on the other slice. If you'd like, you can add a sprinkle of cinnamon for extra flavor or a few banana slices for a different twist.

2: Combine the Slices:

Press the two slices of bread together to form a sandwich, with the peanut butter and jelly sides facing each other.

3: Butter the Bread:

Spread a thin layer of butter or margarine on the outsides of the sandwich. This will help the bread get golden brown and crispy when grilled.

4: Preheat the Pan:

Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium-low heat. You don't want the heat too high, as you want to give the inside of the sandwich time to warm up and the outside to brown slowly.

5: Grill the Sandwich:

Place the sandwich in the preheated skillet or griddle. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the bread turns golden brown and crispy, and the inside is warm and gooey. Press the sandwich down gently with a spatula while grilling to help the ingredients stick together.

6: Serve:

Once the sandwich is grilled to your liking, remove it from the heat, let it cool for a minute, and then cut it in half or quarters for easy handling. Serve your grilled jelly and peanut butter sandwich while it's still warm.
