Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. The ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, milk, egg, garlic, salt, and black pepper should all be combined in a big bowl. Mix till everything is thoroughly combined.
  3. Roll the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs.
  4. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. The meatballs should be cooked, tossing periodically, for 8 to 10 minutes, or until they are browned on all sides.
  5. Slice the hoagie rolls in half lengthwise. Spread about 1/4 cup of marinara sauce on the top of each roll.
  6. Place 3-4 meatballs on each roll, depending on the size of the rolls.
  7. Top each roll with 1/2 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese.
  8. The sandwiches should be baked for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbling, on a baking sheet.
  9. Serve hot.

Optional: You can add some sliced onions, peppers or mushrooms to the skillet when cooking the meatballs for an extra boost of flavor and nutrition.
