There are many different styles of BBQ ribs, depending on the region and cultural influences. Some popular styles include Memphis-style, Kansas City-style, and Texas-style ribs, which are characterized by different types of rubs, sauces, and cooking methods.

BBQ ribs are often served as a main course or as part of a larger meal, such as a BBQ or picnic. They are typically accompanied by side dishes like cornbread, coleslaw, potato salad, and baked beans.

While BBQ ribs can be a delicious and satisfying meal, they are often high in calories and fat, so it's important to enjoy them in moderation as part of a balanced diet.

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 275°F.
  2. Mix together the brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, salt, and black pepper in a small bowl.
  3. Each rack of ribs should have a thin, papery membrane removed from the rear. This will increase the tenderness of the ribs and aid in the seasoning's penetration of the meat.
  4. Rub the seasoning mixture generously onto both sides of the ribs.
  5. Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with foil, meaty side up. Another foil sheet should be used to tightly cover.
  6. Bake the ribs in the preheated oven for 2-3 hours, until the meat is tender and pulls away from the bone.
  7. After taking the ribs out of the oven, throw away the foil. BBQ sauce should be applied on the ribs on both sides.
  8. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Grill the ribs for 5-7 minutes per side, until the sauce is caramelized and the ribs are slightly charred.
  9. Before slicing and serving, take the ribs off the grill and give them some time to cool a bit.
