There are many different styles of BBQ ribs, depending on the region and cultural influences. Some popular styles include Memphis-style, Kansas City-style, and Texas-style ribs, which are characterized by different types of rubs, sauces, and cooking methods.
BBQ ribs are often served as a main course or as part of a larger meal, such as a BBQ or picnic. They are typically accompanied by side dishes like cornbread, coleslaw, potato salad, and baked beans.
While BBQ ribs can be a delicious and satisfying meal, they are often high in calories and fat, so it's important to enjoy them in moderation as part of a balanced diet.
Ingredients

Directions
- Preheat oven to 275°F.
- Mix together the brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, salt, and black pepper in a small bowl.
- Each rack of ribs should have a thin, papery membrane removed from the rear. This will increase the tenderness of the ribs and aid in the seasoning's penetration of the meat.
- Rub the seasoning mixture generously onto both sides of the ribs.
- Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with foil, meaty side up. Another foil sheet should be used to tightly cover.
- Bake the ribs in the preheated oven for 2-3 hours, until the meat is tender and pulls away from the bone.
- After taking the ribs out of the oven, throw away the foil. BBQ sauce should be applied on the ribs on both sides.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Grill the ribs for 5-7 minutes per side, until the sauce is caramelized and the ribs are slightly charred.
- Before slicing and serving, take the ribs off the grill and give them some time to cool a bit.
